Grand Canyon Caverns

(information from: http://gccaverns.com/)

The Grand Canyon Caverns is located along Route 66 in Northern Arizona. These are the largest dry caverns in the United States, located 200 to 300 feet below the surface, and accessible via our exploration elevator. Located in the middle of 3,000,000 acres of the most unspoiled land left in the world, we offer clean air, clear skies, open prairies, and a refreshing change of scenery from the urban world. We feature cavern tours that are easily accessible along paved walkways with handrails and for the more adventurous, off-path ‘Explorers Tours’.

Featuring a Motel, Dinner, Gift Shop, classic Route 66 Gas Station, our own Airstrip, RV camping area with full hookups, a Rodeo Ring that regularly holds cowboy events, and of course our world famous Caverns, we offer all the amenities needed for an enjoyable visit and stay. Located close to the beautiful Supai Falls and a short distance to the Grand Canyon and rafting on the Colorado river, the Grand Canyon Caverns is the perfect home base for visiting all the great adventures located around the Grand Canyon and in Northern Arizona.

The Grand Canyon Caverns is close to everywhere and yet a complete change from your urban or suburban world. We are six hours from southern California, 2.5 hours from Phoenix or Las Vegas, and 1.5 hours from Laughlin, Lake Havasu or Williams.

We are 800 acres held in trust for the world these past 80 years at an elevation of 5,500 feet on a beautiful plateau with the largest dry caverns in the united states 200 to 300 feet below the surface.

March 2016 Grand Canyon Caverns Newsletter

Dear Friends of the Caverns,

The new season is upon us! While it sure has been pretty across North America during this winter, I think we are all ready for some warmth, a change in activities, and being able to enjoy the great outdoors even more. March is the unofficial start of our new activities season here at the Grand Canyon Caverns.

Our newest and most adventurous tour ever begins this month, along with a new horse drawn wagon ride that is sure to be fun for the whole family. Soon we will be expanding hours and opening up new dining options. If you don’t already have spring break plans, then plan a trip to come visit us here at the GCC!

Sincerely,
John McEnulty
